Garden Tips and Help So You Can
Plan and Plant Your Dream Garden

Garden Planning

One of the first things you should do is plan your garden spaces.

I know, the urge to buy pretty plants and start digging is much stronger than the urge to map things out. In the long run, you'll save money and be much happier with your garden if you take the time now to figure out what you want from each space in your yard.

Landscaping With Plants

With all the great plants out there it's hard to decide which ones to put in your yard. Unless you have unlimited space, time and money... you can't have them all. (I've tried!)

Trees should be given serious consideration when planning your garden. They're more expensive than other plants and are harder to move once they're planted.

Annuals and Bulbs are typically added to provide early splashes of color and excitement to your gardens a to keep color blooming throughout summer. You can create whole gardens using just annuals or bulbs if you want or add to exsisting flower beds.

Perennials have taken over the gardening industry over the past few years. You can find varieties to match almost any garden situation.

Roses are not as hard to grow as they once were. Improvements in disease resistance and breeding have created some very nice varieties to grow.
