U Garden Terms

union: The point at which a scion and stock are joined in grafting. You can sometimes see the union because it bulges a little.

urea: A source of nitrogen used in fertilizers.

utility map: A map that shows the positions of sewer lines, storm drains, electic lines, light poles etc... It is very important to know where these things are before you dig in your yard.
